US "Successfully" Engages 2 Drones In Yemen And Red Sea, Conducts Humanitarian Aid Airdrops Into Gaza
U.S. C-130s dropped over 50,000 U.S. meals ready to eat (MREs) into Northern Gaza.
YEMEN - US forces "successfully engaged and destroyed" two drones in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen in self-defense, according to U.S. Central Command.
One of the drones was engaged over the Red Sea, and the other was still on the ground and preparing to launch. Both drones were engaged as they were seen as a threat to U.S. and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the region.
U.S. C-130s also dropped over 50,000 U.S. meals ready to eat (MREs) into Northern Gaza. According to U.S. Central Command, the joint operation included four C-130 U.S. Air Force aircraft and U.S. Army Soldiers specialized in aerial delivery of U.S. humanitarian assistance supplies.
