US Prepares For Winter Storm Demi, National Guard Deployed Across Southeastern North Carolina, Georgia Declares State Of Emergency
North Carolina National Guard: "The North Carolina National Guard has alerted more than 50 Soldiers, with approximately 15 vehicles to move to different location across Southeastern North Carolina”.
UNITED STATES - The National Guard has been deployed across Southeastern North Carolina as Winter Storm Demi is set to sweep across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the U.S. Georgia has also declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm.
North Carolina National Guard: 50 Soldiers Deployed To Different Location Across Southeastern North Carolina
North Carolina National Guard: "The North Carolina National Guard has alerted more than 50 Soldiers, with approximately 15 vehicles to move to different location across Southeastern North Carolina”.
The Soldiers are preparing to assist those who maybe affected by Winter Storm Demi in the upcoming days. The main mission for our Guard is to assist with maintaining thoroughfare access in coordination with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Also postured to assist if called are North Carolina Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Teams, who are specialized teams consisting of N.C. National Guard and North Carolina State Highway Patrol aircraft and aircrews matched with NC Emergency Management and local first responders."
