US, Iraqi Forces Conduct Raid In Western Iraq, Incidents Reported In/Near Yemen

IRAQ/YEMEN - U.S. forces, along with Iraqi Security Forces carried out a joint raid in Western Iraq during the early hours of August 29th, killing 15 ISIS operatives, according to a statement by U.S. Central Command today.
A U.S. Defense official reported that 7 U.S. military personnel were either injured or wounded during the early-hour raid on Thursday morning, all of whom are currently in stable condition.
Additionally, U.S. forces destroyed two Houthi Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV drones) in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen.
According to U.S. Central Command: "It was determined these UAVs presented a clear and imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region".
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has also reported an attack incident 130 nautical miles east of Aden, Yemen where missiles were fired in close proximity to a vessel.
