US Continues Strikes on Houthi Forces, Trump Holds Tehran Accountable for Attacks By The Group
Trump said on Truth Social, "Every shot fired by the Houthis will be looked upon, from this point forward, as being a shot fired from the weapons and leadership of Iran".
YEMEN - On March 18, 2025, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted precision airstrikes against Iran-backed Houthi in Yemen, targeting their military infrastructure to counter ongoing threats to U.S. and allied interests. U.S. President Donald Trump said that every attack by the Houthis will be seen as a shot fired from Iran.
The strikes focused on degrading Houthi capabilities, hitting key assets such as missile launch sites, drone facilities, and command-and-control nodes.
These operations were executed with air and naval forces, including fighter jets and support from regional bases, aimed at ensuring the safety of navigation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and Gulf of Aden.
The U.S. military emphasized that the strikes were a direct response to Houthi attacks on American warships and commercial shipping, which have persisted as a destabilizing factor in the region.
