US Forces Destroy 3 Drones, 1 Support Vehicle In Houthi-Controlled Areas Of Yemen. CENTCOM Commander Assesses Regional Situation In Middle East
Commander of U.S. Central Command General Michael Erik Kurilla visited the Middle East in order to consult with regional partners and assess the regional security situation.
MIDDLE EAST - U.S. forces destroyed 3 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV drones) and 1 support vehicle in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen determined to present an imminent threat to U.S. and coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the region.
Additionally, the Commander of U.S. Central Command General Michael Erik Kurilla visited the Middle East in order to consult with regional partners and assess the regional security situation between September 7th and 10th, visiting Jordan and Israel and meeting with regional leaders and U.S. Service Members.
According to U.S. Central Command, Kurilla met with the leaders to discuss regional security concerns and to receive a first-hand assessment of the regional security situation.
