US Destroys 7 Houthi Drones, 1 Ground Control Station Vehicle In Yemen. 8,831 Metric Tons Of Aid Delivered To Gaza In Total
In the last week alone, more than 10 million pounds of aid was delivered to Gaza via the temporary pier, providing the second-highest volume of aid in all crossings.
YEMEN/GAZA - U.S. forces destroyed 7 Houthi unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 1 ground control station vehicle in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen in the last 24 hours.
U.S. Central Command said, "It was determined the UAVs and the ground control station presented an imminent threat to U.S., coalition forces, and merchant vessels in the region."
Additionally, since May 17th over 8,831 metric tons (19.4 million pounds) of humanitarian aid has been delivered through the maritime corridor for distribution to Gaza by humanitarian organizations.
In the last day 10 million pounds of aid was delivered to Gaza via the temporary humanitarian aid pier attached to the Gazan shore.
"Today, due to anticipated adverse weather and heightened sea state, the temporary pier was moved from the coast of Gaza back to Ashdod, Israel."
