US Condemns Attack on an Internally Displaced Persons Camp in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

The attack caused the deaths of at least nine persons and wounded at least 33 others, many of whom were women and children.

U.S. Department of State Statement: “The United States strongly condemns the attack today from Rwanda Defense Forces (RDF) and M23 positions on the Mugunga camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
