US Carries Out Strikes In Syria In Response To Attacks On US Personnel, Yemenese Media Claims US, British Forces Carried Out Airstrikes In Yemen
Yemenese media reported that the United States and Britain carried out joint airstrikes on targets located within Yemen on November 9th, 10th, and 11th.
SYRIA - U.S. forces have carried out strikes on 9 targets aligned with Iran in two different locations in Syria in response to attacks on U.S. personnel. U.S. Central Command says the attacks were in response to several attacks on U.S. Personnel in Syria in the last 24 hours.
Additionally, Yemenese media claims the United States and Britain have carried out joint airstrikes on targets located within Yemen on November 9th, 10th, and 11th.
General Michael Erik Kurilla, CENTCOM commander said,"Our message is clear. Attacks against U.S. and coalition partners in the region will not be tolerated. We will continue to take every step necessary to protect our personnel and coalition partners and respond to reckless attacks."
A statement by U.S. Central Command said, "These strikes will degrade the Iranian backed groups' ability to plan and launch future attacks on U.S. and Coalition forces who are in the region to conduct D-ISIS operations."
