ISRAEL/SYRIA/LEBANON - Syrian state-run media is reporting aerial attacks from Israel in the central part of the country and said its air defenses are confronting an "aggression". The Israeli military is reporting sirens sounding in the northern and southern parts of the country.
Syrian state-run news agency SANA is reporting Israeli strikes causing damage to the Masyaf-Wadi Al-Oyoun highway, adding that a fire broke out that firefighting teams are currently working to control.
The news agency reports that Syria's air defenses "confronted an aggression that targeted several points in the central region". It also reported several explosions that were heard "in the sky of the central region" and said they are under investigation.
Israeli military: Sirens are sounding in northern and Southern Israel: Fassuta (false identification), Misgav Am, Ashkelon, and Upper Galilee.
