Successful ISF-Led Airstrike Targets ISIS Operatives in Rawa, Iraq
An initial post-strike clearance confirmed the dead ISIS operatives, various medium and small caliber weapons, grenades, suicide explosive belts, and ammunition.
IRAQ - On February 12th Iraqi Security Forces (ISF), enabled by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, conducted an airstrike in the vicinity of Rawa, Iraq, killing five ISIS operatives.
An initial post-strike clearance confirmed the dead ISIS operatives, various medium and small caliber weapons, grenades, suicide explosive belts, and ammunition.
Additionally, Alexander Justin White, a 29-year-old man from Durham, pled guilty to conspiring and attempting to provide material support to ISIS. White was arrested on December 4, 2024, while preparing to board an international flight with the intent to join ISIS.
A federal complaint said, "White openly discussed his desire and intention to travel overseas to join ISIS with various individuals on Facebook and over EMAs."
