OMAN - According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), there was a suspicious approach incident 160 nautical miles southeast of Salalah, Oman by a small craft astern, about 0.3 nautical miles from the vessel.

The report said that the small craft had a visible ladder and carried 7 crew members. It followed the vessel for about 20 minutes.

Armed security personnel onboard the vessel fired a warning shot, after which the small craft left the area.

The UKMTO advised vessels in the region to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity.
