YEMEN - On March 15, 2025, at 1645 UTC, U.S. military forces initiated strikes targeting facilities in Yemen utilized by Houthi forces to conduct attacks on commercial and military vessels operating in international shipping lanes. These strikes were aimed at infrastructure supporting Houthi operations in the region.

In response, Houthi forces have issued statements indicating their intent to target U.S. assets, including commercial vessels, across a broad maritime area encompassing the Red Sea, Bab el Mandeb Strait, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf, and Somali Basin.
