BEIRUT - The Israeli military has reported that over the last day, it has carried out precise, intelligence-based strikes on over 1,300 Hezbollah targets located within Lebanon, including the country's capital Beirut.
A statement by the Israeli military said, "Over the past day (Monday), the IDF conducted precise, intelligence-based strikes on approximately 1,300 Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon in order to remove immediate threats against the State of Israel.
During the strikes, long-range cruise missiles, heavyweight rockets, rockets with warheads capable of carrying 100kg of explosives, short-range rockets, and explosive UAVs were all struck by the IDF."
It went on to say, "The IDF makes vast efforts not to hit civilians and makes every effort to mitigate harm to civilians during operational activity.
Regarding the high number of casualties, everyone is a tragedy, in Lebanon, among those killed were large numbers of Hezbollah terrorists who were next to the weapons that we targeted."
