Israeli Military Announces Release of Three Hostages on Day One of Ceasefire Implementation

JERUSALEM - The Israeli military announced the release of three hostages who were captured by the Hamas terrorist organization last October 7th. Additionally, the remains of Oron Shaul, who was killed during the 2014 war (Operation Protective Edge) when his armored personnel carrier was targeted in Gaza's Shijaiyah neighborhood, have been returned more than ten years later.
The ceasefire agreement will be implemented in three stages, each lasting six weeks. The terms for stages 2 and 3 are still being negotiated.
The names of the three hostages who were released after 471 days of captivity and now receiving medical assessments and treatments are:

According to the Israeli military, an initial statement on the released hostages said, "The three released hostages, together with their mothers, just boarded an Israeli Air Force helicopter to make their way to the hospital, where they will be reunited with the rest of their families and receive medical treatment."
Later another statement said, "The three released hostages, together with their mothers, just boarded an Israeli Air Force helicopter to make their way to the hospital, where they will be reunited with the rest of their families and receive medical treatment."
An additional statement posted later said, "The three released hostages, together with their mothers, just landed at a hospital, where they will be reunited with the rest of their families and receive medical treatment. The IDF, ISA, the Mossad, and Israeli health authorities are ready to continue receiving additional hostages and are operating to bring home all the hostages."
