ISIS Attempting To Rebuild Following Several Years Of Decreased Capability, On Pace To Double Attacks Claimed In 2023
From January to June 2024, ISIS claimed 153 attacks in Iraq and Syria.
IRAQ/SYRIA - According to U.S. Central Command, ISIS is attempting to rebuild following several years of decreased capability as the group is on pace to more than double the total number of attacks they claimed in 2023, with 153 attacks in Iraq and Syria from the months of January to June of this year.

According to U.S. Central Command, "The 332d ECES is deployed within the USCENTCOM area of responsibility to help defend U.S. and coalition interests, promote regional security, and deter potential adversaries in the region."
