Iran Issues New NOTAM Advising to Avoid Western Airspace Due To "Gun Firing"
According to the NOTAM, the gun firing will be taking place from 13:30 to 16:30 UTC on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning August 14th, 2024 until September 19th, 2024.
TEHRAN - Iran has issued a new Notice To Airmen (NOTAM) warning aircraft to stay at an altitude of 18,000 feet above sea level (AMSL) while in operation over the country's western airspace due to "gun firing".
According to the NOTAM, the gun firing will be taking place from 13:30 to 16:30 UTC on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays beginning August 14th, 2024 until September 19th, 2024, and the notice advises to avoid the following locations:
NOTAM Locations: "A2801/24 GUN FIRING WILL TAKE PLACE WI AREA: 352500N 0465100E 352500N 0470000E 351500N 0465100E 352000N 0464500E TO THE POINT OF ORIGIN".
