Houthis Launch 4 Missiles Into Gulf Of Aden Hitting Merchant Vessels, US Forces Destroy 1 UAS Drone, 2 Cruise Missiles, 1 Missile Launcher
U.S. forces destroyed 1 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS drone), 2 land attack cruise missiles, and one missile launcher in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
GULF OF ADEN - U.S. Central Command reported that four missiles were launched by Houthi militants into the Gulf of Aden, at least one was a cruise missile. Missiles struck multiple merchant vessels during the attacks.
U.S. forces destroyed 1 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS drone), 2 land attack cruise missiles, and one missile launcher in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
Additionally, U.S. Central Command carried out a humanitarian aid airdrop into Northern Gaza on June 9th, 2024 in a joint operation, dropping over 10 metric tons of Meals Ready to Eat (MREs).
Central Command said, "To date, the U.S. has airdropped more than 1,050 metric tons of humanitarian assistance in addition to the assistance delivered by the Joint Logistics Over the Sea (JLOTS) corridor".
