Houthi Fires 2 Ballistic Missiles Into Red Sea, Additional Information On Boarding Near Somalia

YEMEN/SOMALIA - Houthis launched two anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) into the Red Sea on May 23rd, according to U.S. Central Command. An additional incident report has also been released on the vessel that was boarded near Somalia on May 23rd.
The UKMTO released an additional report on a boarding incident at location 0116S 05107E by an unknown number of "unauthorized persons" 420 nautical miles southeast of Merca, Somalia on May 23rd, which authorities are still investigating according to the report.
Regarding the boarded vessel, the update says that the Company Security Officer reported that the unauthorized boarders departed the Merchant Vessel (MV) and all crew is safe. It advises any vessels transiting the region to do so with caution and to report any suspicious activity.
Regarding the two anti-ship ballistic missiles fired into the Red Sea, U.S. Central Command reported that there were no injuries or damage reported by U.S., coalition, or commercial vessels in the region.
