Fordham University in New York City requested assistance to disperse an unlawful encampment of individuals inside one of their buildings.
NYPD Deputy Commissioner, Operations Kaz Daughtry: "Happening Now: In an effort to ensure further escalation does not occur, [Fordham University] has requested our assistance to disperse an unlawful encampment of individuals inside one of their buildings. Attached is the letter from the university.
Your NYPD news officers continue to protect the right to peacefully protest, but lawlessness will not be tolerated. I commend the professionalism consistently displayed by our officers.
Without incident, we have placed the individuals who refused to disperse from the unlawful encampment inside a [Fordham University] building under arrest."
