EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE: "The Eglin AFB Installation Commander has updated his order for essential mission activities on Eglin AFB. Eglin AFB operations and services except for base emergency services will be closed all of Tuesday, Jan. 21. Maximum telework is highly encouraged."
"Due to projected inclement weather forecasted for the area, the 96th Test Wing commander ordered a mission essential posture beginning at 11 am Jan. 21. Maximum telework is highly encouraged for those who work on Eglin."

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Updated weather forecasts show a winter storm arriving in the area earlier mid-morning on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
A winter storm will enter the area tomorrow morning and will bring below freezing temps with freezing precipitation through the early evening hours.
The Eglin AFB Installation Commander has updated his order for essential mission activities on Eglin AFB. Eglin AFB operations and services except for base emergency services will be closed all of Tuesday, Jan. 21. Maximum telework remains highly encouraged.
A decision on the installation’s posture for Wednesday, January 22 will be made on Tuesday afternoon based on the projected condition of the roads.
Eglin personnel should stay in close contact with their supervisors for specific unit information and keep a close eye on local forecast for weather updates.
The 96th Medical Group will be limited to emergencies, limited in-patient surgery, mother/baby care, and virtual appointments. Patients with questions about their appointments should call the 96th MDG appointment line.
