Two Katyusha rockets were fired at the base injuring several U.S. personnel. U.S. defense officials confirmed the injuries with base personnel carrying out a post-attack damage assessment.
The U.S. Department of Defense called the attack a “dangerous escalation,” and said it was carried out by militia groups aligned with Iran.
