Russian Test Of Russia’s RS-28 Sarmat “Satan II” ICBM Fails
A test-launch was also carried out by Russia of its RS-28 Sarmat ICBM which entered into service in 2023, but the launch ended in failure, as with previous attempts to successfully launch the missile.
The failure caused a fire at the launch site. Of its previous launch attempts, only 1 was reported to be successful since the missile was put into service. One successful launch was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin in April of 2022.
At that time the Russian President said that the missile would, “force all who are trying to threaten our country in the heat of frenzied, aggressive rhetoric to think twice”.
