A man was arrested while attempting to light a vehicle on fire. The Bomb squad has cleared a suspicious vehicle and deemed there to be no ongoing threat but advised to continue avoiding the area.
A man was arrested on multiple charges of Carrying a Dangerous Weapon while attempting to get a machete into the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC).
US Capitol Police update: “The name of the man arrested yesterday is 35-year-old Adrian J. Hinton, of Virginia. He was arrested for Unlawful Activities.”

USCP Arrests Man Who Attempted to Light Car on Fire
Just after 2:00 p.m., our officers stopped and arrested a man who tried to get a machete into the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC).
