USS Gravely Responds To Houthi Attack On Merchant Vessel, Shoots Down 2 Ballistic Missiles

U.S. Central Command: USS GRAVELY shoots down two anti-ship ballistic missiles while responding to Houthi attack on merchant vessel. The United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations also reported an incident about 55 nautical miles southwest of Al Hudaydah accompanied by a “flash on the port bow of the vessel”. Several other explosions in the vicinity were reported by the UKMTO.

The report added that Coalition forces assisted the vessel in distress and there were no casualties, and all of the vessel’s crew has been accounted for. Additionally, the UKMTO advises that vessels transiting the region do so with caution, and report any suspicious activity.
