The number of Chinese military aircraft spotted around the island of Taiwan today remains highly elevated.

TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 38 Chinese military aircraft and 12 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on August 24th, 2024.

Taiwanese Armed Forces recently conducted joint sea-defense drill, and launched Hsiung Feng II/III missiles, according to the Ministry of Defense

The number of Chinese military aircraft spotted around the island of Taiwan today remains highly elevated.

Of the military aircraft spotted there were fighter jets and drones, 32 of which crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered into Taiwan's northern, central, southwestern, and eastern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).
