TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 36 Chinese military aircraft, 1 People's Republic of China (PRC) balloon, and 8 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted operating around Taiwan on February 20th, 2025.

While some have highlighted that Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) extends into Chinese territory, Beijing dispatches military aircraft positioned around the island of Taiwan, not deep within mainland China.
